Many of my clients have started expereincing small red, sometimes itchy bumps on their face & body! Most didn’t even understand why this was happening since some don’t have acne troubles. As you can imagine, this has been causing some major panic!
These annoying bumps are commonly caused by trapped sweat in your pores due to the extreme summer heat. Don’t let these heat rashes get you down, instead try these tips to clear your skin so you can enjoy the summer:
- Wipe your face with a clean towel. Any time you are perspiring, try to keep your face dry. During your amazing work out, take a few moments to pat down. Wearing breathable fabrics will also help keep you cool and dry.
- Make sure to cleanse your face after you sweat. If you are in a rush, keep makeup wipes in your gym bag. Baby wipes also work really great and they are perfect for sensitive skin.
- Don’t skip out on exfoliating. Get rid of the dirt, dead skin cells, and sweat that can clog your pores.
- Keep an eye on ingredient lists on perfumes, lotions, & sunscreens. Certain ingredients such as Titanium Dixoide will cause heat rashes in extreme temperatures.
