This is our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple. I’m normally pretty reserved on sharing personal things, especially online. But today seemed like a a great occasion for an exception… so here it goes!
Some of you may know Josh as Dollface Photoboth or as the incredible Dollface business manager, or even as “The Fritz”. Here are a few things you don’t know about Josh along with a few of my favorite things about him:
He is genuinely interested in everyone’s story & he’s a really good listener. No matter what he is doing, he’ll drop whatever it is when I want to hug/love on him. He loves all animals. He is a gourmet genius & can bake the best homemade sweet potato pie! I love how he is with my family. He’s especially patient and loving to my Mom & grandma. He is interested in makeup because it’s my passion, which makes it important to him. We created our own fashion sense called “Fritz Fashion” since we help each other get dressed so much. (& I love that he’s cool with giving me fashion advice.) We are very silly, more often than not. It’s amazing to watch him with kids. He’s open to learning life lessons & applying them even if it’s easier not to. He’s beautifully unaware of how really, really handsome he is even though I tell him. He means it when he calls me his best friend. He made, and continues to make me feel beautiful & sexy during every phase of my 3 year/50 lb weight loss, pre & post. He dreams big for me and keeps me focused when life feels overwhelming. He brings me coffee in bed every morning to wake me up sweetly so I start my day on a good foot. He pushes himself to be better. He would love to be my baby daddy one day 😉
After 4+ years together, we have learned more about each other in our first 3 months of being married. It’s refreshing to learn important things especially when you think you’ve already learned it all. We are by no means perfect, we are just trying to enjoy this beautiful life together. He tries his best and knows love does take work. Being good to each other is what is important to us. It isn’t always easy, but it’s always worth it.
Josh, thank you for always making me feel how hard you love me. Thank you for all the small, sweet things you do along with the big, grand gestures of love. Thank you for working hard to keep our relationship special and true. I thank God for bringing you into my life to challenge me, push me, & cherish me. I pray that I can do the same for you.
Our wedding day was a magical experience that showed us, as well as our guests, how special true love really is and not in a cheesy movie kinda way. Thank you for being present during our planning so we could have a beautiful collaboration of us on our day.
Thank you for surprising me with a Valentine’s plan even though I suggested being low key. Most importantly, thank you for not only wanting to be the best man you can, but for being my champion. Happy Valentine’s Day baby, I love you more than all the stars in the sky!
